Summary

The Commercial Inventory Purchasing Analyst manages purchases and purchasing procedures while maintaining proper multi-branch inventory levels across multiple categories of products. Responsible for the entire life cycle of orders:  placing, maintaining, documenting, changing, receiving, canceling, and following up on, while answering questions throughout the life cycle as to status.  Product is managed on a Just-in-time basis while assuring that company metrics for Inventory Balance, Aged Inventory, Freight Expenditure and Stock availability are met or exceeded.

  • Demonstrate good judgment in performing job duties while satisfying multiple conflicting priorities that are tied directly to key company metrics
  • Strong sense of urgency - ability to react to changing priorities and ability to recognize key priorities and respond appropriately and multi-task while handling large volume of overlapping weekly and on demand activities.
  • Requires strong verbal, written and persuasive communication skills with different departments to get/interpret information, bring a positive team-helping approach, work constructively, understand/determine the best match of needs to available options, resolve problems, encourage cooperation, give direction, and escalate where required.
  • Ability to initiate requests from different departments and levels for actions and cooperation.
  • Strong proficiency and accuracy in math.
