Kickstart your career in engineering with Watts Water Technologies! Our three-year Commercial Leadership Rotational Program is designed for ambitious, high-potential graduates eager to make an impact from day one. This rotational program is designed to develop the next generation of engineering and product leaders.
During the program, you’ll complete three 12-month rotations: Engineering, Product Management, and Applications Engineering. Each rotation will expose you to a different stage of the product lifecycle. You’ll gain experience in product design, manufacturing, product strategy, and customer applications.
You’ll contribute to meaningful business initiatives and learn from experienced leaders. You’ll also work with cross-functional teams across the company. Through these experiences, you’ll strengthen your technical expertise and commercial understanding. You’ll also develop the leadership skills needed to grow your career at Watts.
This role is hybrid, and is based at our headquarters in North Andover, MA

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Across the three rotations, you’ll build experience in the following areas:
Applications Engineering
- Support the development of customer solutions and technical quotations
- Participate in customer visits and field experiences alongside Sales and Engineering teams
- Translate customer insights into product solutions and potential business opportunities
- Partner with Sales to support customer engagement and technical product positioning
- Help develop and deliver training for customers and manufacturer representatives, including Level 1 training programs
Product Engineering
- Gain practical experience in factory and manufacturing environments while supporting sustaining engineering initiatives
- Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) projects in collaboration with Research and Development teams
- Partner with technical support teams to gather and analyze Voice of Customer (VOC) insights.
- Develop knowledge of product design, engineering systems, and technical problem-solving
Product Management
- Build product knowledge through training and portfolio management activities
- Support customer field engagement and market research efforts
- Help coordinate projects across Engineering, Sales, Operations, and other functional teams
- Conduct financial and commercial analysis, including pricing and profitability support
- Contribute to product strategy, roadmap development, and business case evaluation
Program Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Operations
- Analyze technical data and customer feedback to support decision-making
- Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations clearly and effectively
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in products, processes, and customer experience
- Contribute to additional projects that support your professional development and broader business objectives
Career Pathways:
After successfully completing the program, you’ll transition into a full-time role aligned with your strengths and the needs of the business.
Work Location and Travel Requirements:
This hybrid position is based primarily in North Andover, Massachusetts. When assigned to North Andover, you’ll work onsite Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely Thursday and Friday.
Your program assignments will also include time at the Franklin, New Hampshire, location. Approximately 10%–25% travel is expected for customer visits, field assignments, and training. You must be willing to rotate across locations and functions during the program.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Graduation date of May 2027
- Proven interest in leadership development and intellectual curiosity with a strong desire and commitment to grow into future leadership positions
- Strong technical foundation with demonstrated technical acumen and problem-solving ability
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and in team environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical and business data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and identify areas for improvement
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and accountability
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and complete all required pre-employment screenings

Working Conditions:
Some rotations may involve work at manufacturing facilities, customer sites, or in the field. You must follow all applicable site-specific safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment when necessary
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods
- Ability to physically move around the office and organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related material
- Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data-entry tasks
- Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly during meetings or phone calls
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, phones, and copiers
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment

The expected salary for this position is $80,000-$85,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
