About this role

Who is Plenti?

Plenti is a fintech lender, providing faster, fairer loans by leveraging its smart technology. Plenti is a dynamic and innovative business that is growing strongly. By continuing to deliver better customer experiences, Plenti is taking market share from incumbent players in the personal lending, renewable energy, and automotive finance markets.

We are a fast moving and ambitious business that seeks to recruit smart and capable people, who can take ownership of their role to help the business thrive. With over 250 people based in Australia, Plenti is of a size where everyone can make a difference in their role and help us realise our very big ambitions as a team, as we go about building Australia’s best lender.

Plenti is a founder led business that launched in 2014, listed on the ASX since 2020 with annual revenue of over $250 million and a loan portfolio of over $3 billion.

About the role:
As a Commercial Pricing Analyst at Plenti, you will play an important role in supporting pricing and profitability decisions across our lending portfolio. You will develop and maintain the models and analysis that underpin pricing decisions, monitor the competitive landscape and translate market insights into a clear view of Plenti’s positioning.

You will contribute to the development and optimisation of pricing strategies, using data and analysis to identify opportunities, evaluate performance and support commercial decision making. You will also support business cases, investment decisions and commercial analysis for senior leaders, providing exposure to a broad range of strategic priorities across the business.

This is a high-impact role for an analytical, commercially minded thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and turning insight into action.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the development, execution and ongoing performance monitoring of pricing strategies across Plenti’s lending channels
  • Build, maintain and continuously improve sophisticated analytical and pricing models, leveraging statistical, database and AI tools
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activity, assessing their potential impact on pricing, volume and margin
  • Design and evaluate pricing tests, using rigorous lookback analysis to understand what worked, what didn’t and why
  • Help shape and continuously improve Plenti’s pricing processes and governance framework, including preparing insights and recommendations for pricing forums
  • Support business cases, investment decisions and ad hoc commercial analysis for senior leaders
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing performance, portfolio profitability and decision-making through data-driven experimentation

About you:
You bring strong analytical rigour, commercial judgement and the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. You communicate with impact, build trusted stakeholder relationships and are confident challenging assumptions to drive better commercial decisions.

You will have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in pricing, commercial analytics or a similar analytical role
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, STEM or a related quantitative discipline
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including advanced Excel
  • Strong SQL capability, with experience building reporting and dashboards using BI tools (Databricks experience is highly regarded, though not essential)
  • Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude to analyse data, build reporting and improve processes, with the judgement to know when outputs require verification
  • Exposure to product or portfolio profitability analysis, ideally within financial services
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex analysis clearly and effectively
