SALARY: £34,303 per annum OTE*
HOURS: 45 Hours, 5 days in 7, including weekends.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for executing dishes in line with our seasonal menu specifications, maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. Ideally, you will have experience in a fresh food or restaurant environment; however, a genuine passion for seasonal, sustainable food and a willingness to learn are equally valued.
This role will support our Green Michelin Star restaurant, The Trough which offers a varied and dynamic working environment. Working closely with our team of skilled chefs, you will develop your culinary techniques while contributing to a kitchen that champions organic produce, seasonality, and a true farm-to-fork ethos.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes with consistency and attention to detail.
Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and stock management standards.
Work effectively as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.
Keep your section organised, clean and ready for service.
Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering a great guest experience.

About gratuities & service charge:
Gratuities (tips) are paid on a pro-rata basis.
It is estimated that in 2026, our full-time employees can expect to receive in the range of £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
The on target earning potential for this role is £34,303 per annum based on a 45-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £30,303 plus a qualified estimate of £4,000 in gratuities and service charge. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.
