Commissioning Engineer - County Louth

Commissioning Engineer Location: County Louth Crewit Resourcing is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to carry out onsite HVAC commissioning activities, with a primary focus on the testing and balancing of air and water systems. Working as part of a commissioning team, you will ensure all systems are installed, tested, and verified in line with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. This is a site-based role requiring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities Perform onsite Testing & Balancing (TAB) of air and hydronic systems Carry out air balancing of ventilation systems Conduct water balancing of heating and chilled water systems Execute flushing and cleaning of pipework systems in line with BSRIA standards Review HVAC drawings and specifications prior to commissioning activities Develop commissioning plans, method statements, and test procedures Track commissioning progress and identify system defects or performance issues Troubleshoot issues encountered during air and water balancing activities Produce detailed commissioning reports and test documentation Ensure all test data meets project and industry requirements Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project teams Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality on site Requirements 5 years’ experience in HVAC commissioning or mechanical services Proven experience in air and water balancing (TAB) Knowledge of BSRIA flushing procedures Strong understanding of mechanical services systems Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and technical documentation Strong communication and technical reporting skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Full driver’s licence (site travel required) Desirable Qualification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Working Environment Site-based role across commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, data centre, and industrial projects Regular interaction with engineers, contractors, project managers, and clients Opportunity to work on complex, high-spec HVAC systems How to Apply Apply via Crewit Resourcing today and one of our consultants will come back to you!
