What you'll do

  • Provide program orientations, WorkinTexas.com registrations, one-on-one or small group setting workshops and program presentations.
  • Provide screening for program eligibility and job search assistance.
  • Prioritize assignments and recognize the need to adjust or adapt within a group setting or deliver one-on-one services.
  • Interact with job seekers to ensure appropriate matches with employers’ needs and job postings.
  • Ensure data entry, documentation, tracking and reporting are completed in a timely manner.
  • Support team with program workshops, including but not limited to interviewing skills, resume writing, and job search techniques.
  • Facilitate orientations and presentations for workforce center services on a consistent basis
  • Travel from site to site and between workforce centers as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate timely and professionally with community organizations.
  • Serve as point of contact for customers interested in youth workforce services
  • Flexibility to co-locate within community based and non-profit organizations to provide workforce services to participants and/or families on-site.

Job Description

The Community Outreach Specialist will provide program orientations, WorkinTexas.com registrations, one-on-one or small group setting workshops and program presentations. Eligibility for WIOA could be verified to educate participants on the program and services available.

  • Provide screening for program eligibility and job search assistance.
