We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring payment activities, conducting due diligence screenings, performing compliance monitoring activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable sanctions regimes and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in safeguarding the organization against financial crime, regulatory breaches, and reputational risks.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, investigating complex cases and translating regulations into practical business advice. You will be at the heart of payment screening, due diligence and compliance monitoring, supporting compliance reviews and risk assessments, working closely with various business stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Legal Practice, Finance, Economics, Business Management or a related field.

  • Ideally, you have gained initial experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance, or a similar environment.

  • You are able to analyze financial data and transactions, connect information from different sources and identify potential risks or inconsistencies.

  • You work accurately, in a structured manner and have a keen eye for detail.

  • You are comfortable performing independent research, reviewing documentation and building well-supported assessments

  • You are not afraid to challenge information and possess strong analytical skills.

  • You know how to distinguish between routine cases and situations that require escalation or additional review.

  • You communicate confidently with a variety of stakeholders and can translate complex information into clear and pragmatic advice.

  • You have a good command of Dutch and English.
