  • Research, read, and interpret new and changing regulations and determine applicability to business operations
  • Collaborate with department leaders to implement processes and technologies to reduce the organization’s carbon footprint
  • Promote and explain the organization’s sustainability philosophy to internal and external audiences
  • Ensure project/department milestones are met
  • Assist with regulatory reporting, registrations, and jurisdictional permits
  • Assist with annual sustainability reporting and associated frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD
  • Lead reporting for programs such as CDP, EcoVadis, and SmartWay
  • Prepare responses to customer sustainability questionnaires and information requests
  • Responsible for EPA energy benchmarking where applicable
  • Oversee accurate maintenance and administration of regulatory sustainability and compliance documentation, data, and reporting
  • Review sustainability-related data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Gather weekly, monthly, and quarterly data for reporting metrics and benchmarking

Assists in the development and implementation of sustainability and compliance programs. Coordinates enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • Previous experience in transportation preferred
  • Previous experience in sustainability preferred
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting preferred
  • Experience with GRI, SASB, TCFD, and other frameworks preferred
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting and sustainability reporting standards preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including the ability to understand and develop complex Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
