Job Summary

1. We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to teach students the fundamentals and applications of computer science, programming, information technology, and digital literacy. The teacher will create engaging, practical learning experiences and help students develop computational thinking, problem-solving, programming, and technology skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science and Information Technology lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
• Teach programming concepts, algorithms, data structures, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and computer fundamentals according to students' grade levels.
• Introduce students to programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or other relevant languages.
• Develop lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises, assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions and programming exercises.
• Teach students computational thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and algorithmic skills.
• Guide students in developing software, websites, applications, and technology-based projects.
• Use interactive teaching methods, coding platforms, educational software, and digital resources.
• Assess students through practical examinations, assignments, projects, tests, and classroom activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide additional support or remedial instruction when required.
• Encourage students to participate in coding competitions, technology fairs, robotics activities, and computer science projects.
• Maintain computer laboratory discipline and ensure students follow appropriate safety and technology-use guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and student performance.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and academic staff regarding student progress when required.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, programming languages, educational tools, and developments in computer science.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, school events, and extracurricular activities.
• Promote responsible, ethical, and safe use of technology, including awareness of cybersecurity and digital citizenship.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification such as B.Ed. or an equivalent recognized certification, where applicable.

• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and programming.
• Good communication and classroom-management skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technology.
