What you'll do
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical construction lessons to secondary-aged learners and post-16 students.
- Teach a range of construction and building skills, which may include carpentry, joinery, brickwork, painting and decorating, maintenance, and other relevant trades.
- Develop learners' practical abilities, confidence, independence, and preparation for future employment or further education.
- Adapt and differentiate lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs, abilities, and individual EHCP targets.

Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate, practical, and dedicated Construction Teacher to join a specialist secondary SEMH school in Burnley, supporting young people aged 11-19.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic construction professional or experienced teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that develop learners' practical skills, confidence, independence, and employability. You will play a key role in delivering a vocational construction curriculum tailored to the individual needs, abilities, and interests of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The successful candidate will be committed to creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment where every young person can develop their skills and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
