About Us
CIFOR & ICRAF in action
Landscape Alliance transforms science into
action, unlocking the power of trees, forests and agroforestry
landscapes to advance planetary health and human well-being. It is the
shared operating name of the Center for International Forestry Research
(CIFOR) and the International Centre for Research in Agroforestry
(ICRAF), two independent International Organizations and CGIAR Research
Centers working together through a common strategy, governance and
leadership structure.
CIFOR and ICRAF bring together decades of
scientific leadership in forests, trees, agroforestry, biodiversity,
climate, food systems and livelihoods. CIFOR, headquartered in Bogor,
Indonesia, advances research on forests and landscape management to
inform policies and practices that improve human well-being, protect the
environment and increase equity. ICRAF, headquartered in Nairobi,
Kenya, harnesses the benefits of trees for people and the environment,
generating knowledge that helps governments, development partners and
farmers make farming and livelihoods more sustainable.

Job Description
The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF)’s Speakers Engagement Coordinator will
support the GLF Partnership & Engagement Coordinator in identifying and
reaching out to strategic partners, donors, sponsors, and governments, as well
as inspiring community leaders, activists, artists, and other individuals who could potentially become GLF speakers. This role will also contribute to
the events’ overall narratives, as
plenary speakers heavily influence the conference’s tone and outcomes.
Reflecting on GLF’s core themes, the successful candidate will help define the
most relevant topics for discussion and thus identify the best-suited speakers
to address them, ensuring diverse representation across gender, region, and
knowledge systems. Key responsibilities include(but are not limited to)
identifying speakers, co-designing sessions, overseeing invitations,
confirmations, event briefings, and event follow-up processes.
Additionally, this role will identify strategic opportunities to promote
the knowledge held by speakers through different media and mediums, thereby
achieving content longevity. The
selected candidate will also support strengthening the speaking skills of the
local and community actors whom GLF works with (GLFx Chapters, Youth, and
Restoration Stewards).
