Job Description
Currently we have an excellent opportunity to deliver community-based adult psychiatry across Sydney LHD services. They can offer granted private practice rights allowing you to generate income from treating private patients within the public system.
Salary: Up to $550,000 p.a. (£270,000) – inclusive of super, allowance and earnings from private access rights.
Position: Consultant – Psychiatrist (General Adult) – Community
Hours: Full-time
Settings: Community mental health centres and day programs
Location: Sydney, NSW
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Triage and manage complex community referrals
- Provide pharmacological and psychological treatments
- Lead MDT case reviews and care pathways
- Shared-care with GPs and NGOs
- Complex risk assessment and crisis planning
- Supervise trainees and contribute to education
- Drive service development and quality projects
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- MBBS or equivalent registrable with AHPRA
- Must be on specialist register by CCT and MRCPSYCH
- Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary care
- Strong community psychiatry experience
