The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Consulting Lead to lead and develop our Environmental Consulting team. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving the delivery, quality, and growth of our consultancy services while partnering closely with the Head of Professional Services to shape business strategy, strengthen client relationships, and identify future opportunities for growth.

As a leader within the business, you will inspire and develop a high-performing team, champion operational excellence, and ensure the successful delivery of environmental consultancy projects that consistently exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You will bring a strong academic background in Environmental Science or a related discipline, such as Geography, Geology, Biology, or Chemistry. Postgraduate qualifications and professional memberships, including IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent, would be highly desirable.

You are a confident and credible leader with a passion for developing people and delivering outstanding client outcomes. You will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.

  • A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach to challenges and opportunities.

The Interview Process

  • Screening video call via Microsoft Teams with a member of the Talent Acquisition team.
  • First-stage video interview via Microsoft Teams with the Line Manager. This will include competency-based questions.
  • Personality questionnaire.
  • Second-stage interview (in person) at our Brighton office with the Line Manager, Managing Director and a member of the People team.
