The New School was founded by forward-thinking educators in 1919 to defy the intellectual constraints of a traditional college education. We are seeking a student employee to support administrative tasks in the Contemporary Music Program. This Research Assistant will support the Equipment Manager for the Contemporary Music Program. This will involve maintaining inventory of the equipment for the music program and student use of the equipment. This includes maintaining the QR code method of check-in check-out, as well as supporting faculty use of the equipment for classes. This position will report to Clara Latham, Program Director of Contemporary Music. A successful candidate will have experience with the equipment involved and excellent organizational and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One year of Undergraduate Education

Responsibilities:
This position will support the Contemporary Music Program’s music equipment. We have an independent system that supports our students and classes, requiring a student manager to be on hand to facilitate equipment use for 14 hours per week. The student specialist will inventory and maintain equipment, and supervise student and faculty check-out of equipment and use of the rehearsal space.
