Initiative: Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique
Location: Hybrid/Remote (All 3 Store Locations)
Compensation: $15-$19

ABOUT BEAUTIFUL LIVES THRIFT BOUTIQUE

Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique is an upscale shopping environment at a thrift price point, serving women of all backgrounds with dignity and hope. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Content Creator is responsible for bringing the Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique brand to life through engaging and mission-aligned social media content. This role serves as the primary storyteller across Beautiful Lives’ social platforms, creating cohesive content that represents all three store locations through one unified brand voice and account.

The Content Creator will become a visible and trusted presence for Beautiful Lives online—capturing the heart of the stores, the joy of thrifting, and the mission behind the work. This role blends creativity, strategy, and storytelling to produce compelling content that builds community, increases engagement, and grows our audience.

This is a hybrid role requiring both in-store content creation and remote editing, writing, and planning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create engaging social media content for Beautiful Lives’ unified Instagram and Facebook platforms representing all three store locations.
  • Develop creative ideas for Instagram Reels, Stories, and other short-form video content that reflect the Beautiful Lives brand and mission.
  • Be responsible for helping launch and implement a Beautiful Lives Tiktok for the first time.
  • Stay current on social media trends, audio, features, and platform updates and creatively apply them to Beautiful Lives content.
  • Capture content regularly at all Beautiful Lives locations including product, team, customers, volunteers, and store experiences.
  • Cover key events and special moments such as Spring Flip, Fall Flip, Girls Night Out, Holiday events, and other in-store happenings.
  • Film, edit, and produce high-quality Images, Reels, and Stories using tools such as CapCut, VSCO, Instagram editing tools, or similar platforms.
  • Write engaging captions that align with Beautiful Lives’ brand voice and encourage community interaction and engagement.
  • Create Instagram Stories that provide daily connection points with the Beautiful Lives community.
  • Collaborate closely with the Social Media Lead to execute content strategy and campaign initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage content assignments and timelines through the Asana project management system and or Basecamp.
  • Upload, and maintain photo and video libraries in Dropbox.
  • Build relationships with store team members and volunteers to help them feel comfortable participating in content.
  • Confidently direct team members, volunteers, or customers when capturing photos and videos.
  • Maintain visual and brand consistency across all content.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong alignment with and commitment to the Beautiful Lives mission, vision, core values, and statement of faith.
  • Experience with Instagram and Facebook, and Tiktok.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and an eye for style, aesthetics, and brand alignment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh content ideas consistently.
  • Comfortable being on camera and serving as a recognizable voice and presence for the brand.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to cover occasional evenings and weekends for special events
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Self-motivated and driven 
  • Ability to organize and cover multiple projects at once
  • Ability to receive feedback, adapt quickly, and collaborate within a creative team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Basic photo and video editing skills (CapCut, VSCO, Instagram Reels tools, etc.).
  • Travel to local store locations will be required to capture content; reliable transportation is necessary. Please note that mileage is not reimbursed.
