About this role

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator, Senior Advisor to support our County of San Diego client under our Health, State and Local sector.  This is a hybrid position. This senior level individual contributor position requires an energetic and disciplined contracts management professional providing the following responsibilities:

  • Administers, extends, negotiates and supports contract closeout of standard and non-standard contracts, task orders and subsequent amendments.
  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Support risk reviews for solicitations, ensure terms and condition compliance, complete proposal compliance checks (color team participation), responsible for completion of any representations and certifications, assist with proposal and pricing strategy, supports the development of the contracts volume (to include any OCI Mitigation Plans), and serve as the negotiator for any resultant contract negotiation.
  • Advises program team of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
  • Monitors program performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.
  • Prepares and disseminates information throughout the organization regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.
  • Initiates documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications.
  • Maintains contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
  • Supports non-disclosure agreement and teaming agreement negotiations between company and outside sources.
  • Fosters trusting relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure the contracts system as well as filing is up to date in accordance with policies and procedures and support general ad hoc reporting and tasking.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be local to the San Diego, CA area and able to support a hybrid work schedule with an on-site presence at Peraton facilities and customer sites.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of experience, Master's degree and 10 years of experience, or 16+ years of work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience supporting state and local government contracts.
  • Experience with large IDIQs and resulting Task Orders (preferred).
  • Working knowledge/understanding of State and Local contracting.
  • Business acumen with ability to think critically and develop creative and practical solutions.
  • Experience with the development and negotiation of bids.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of contract types.
  • Strong writing and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Highly adaptable to change.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-moving environment.
  • US Citizenship required.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
