About this role
The Role
The Medical Services Coordinator is responsible for protecting and promoting employee health through occupational health programs, industrial hygiene initiatives, and medical service coordination. This role ensures compliance with health regulations, supports injury and illness prevention efforts, and contributes to a safe and healthy work environment.
What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
Occupational Health & Medical Services
- Coordinate and provide medical services to plant employees.
- Manage occupational health surveillance programs and preventive healthcare initiatives.
- Oversee periodic medical examinations and employee health assessments.
- Ensure effective medical response and follow-up for workplace injuries and illnesses.
Industrial Hygiene
- Develop and implement industrial hygiene programs to minimize occupational health risks.
- Lead initiatives aimed at controlling employee exposure to hazardous substances, including lead management programs.
- Monitor and analyze occupational health indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain adherence to occupational health management systems and company standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Risk Prevention & Health Protection
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace health risks.
- Participate in occupational health and safety incident investigations.
- Intervene when unsafe conditions or activities pose a risk to employee health or safety.
- Support emergency preparedness and medical response plans.
Training & Employee Wellbeing
- Deliver training on occupational health, industrial hygiene, and health-related prevention programs.
- Promote health awareness and wellness initiatives across the organization.
- Foster a culture focused on prevention, safety, and employee wellbeing.

What You Bring (Qualifications)
Education
- Medical Doctor (MD), General Practitioner, or equivalent medical degree.
- Specialized training in Occupational Medicine, Industrial Health, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Experience in occupational health, industrial medicine, or employee health services within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience managing industrial hygiene programs and health surveillance initiatives.
- Proven track record in regulatory compliance and occupational health management.
Technical Knowledge
- Occupational Medicine and Industrial Health.
- Emergency medical response and first aid.
- Hazardous substance and hazardous waste management.
- Occupational health regulations and compliance requirements.
- Health, safety, and environmental management systems.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
Languages
- Advanced English proficiency.

- Plant-based position.
