About this role
Reports to: Manager - Education projects
Job Overview: The person will be responsible for the implementation of United Way Mumbai's education projects. The role is responsible for strengthening processes, preparing budgets, financial reconciliation, monitoring and evaluation to improve the quality of learning among children. We are looking for a team member who is passionate about enhancing education opportunities for children in low-income communities.
Job Description:
- Efficient operations management for UWM education projects for developing scientific temper among students in municipal schools
- Due diligence and capacity building of NGO partners for implementation of project activities
- Monitoring, evaluation of the project activities on ground
- Stakeholder management for efficient implementation of project activities especially with education department of MCGM and relevant school authorities
- Liaise, communicate, interact effectively and manage partnerships with the internal and external stakeholders of the project such as; Government agencies (MCGM, School authorities etc.), private Players (various expert agencies working on the project), civil society groups (NGOs, citizens groups, etc.)
- Report writing and documentation of all the activities
- Financial reconciliation and budgeting on regular basis
- Any other responsibility assigned as and when required
Profile Requisites:
- Post-Graduation in development studies (preference to be given with focus on Education sector)
- Atleast 2-3+ years of experience (preference to be given to applicants with work experience in education sector)
- Self-starter and can lead project implementation independently
- Organized and an excellent communicator- written as well as oral
- Able to multi task and excellent team player
- A people's person with natural flair and passion towards improving education among children from underprivileged communities
- Proficient in communicating in English and Hindi (proficiency in Marathi will be an added preference)
- Proficient with MS office
- Willing to travel extensively in the field
Remuneration: Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the salary range is INR 4.5 LPA to 7 LPA.
