Trading Application Developer / Technical Lead (m/f/d) | Frankfurt

For one of our clients in the financial services sector, we are looking for an high level Developer / Technical Lead to support the modernization of a business-critical trading application.

Project Overview

The client is replacing a legacy trading platform due to security and technology modernization requirements. The application is used in a trading environment where system performance and latency are critical factors. You will work closely with a team of 4 developers and 2 business analysts to drive the transformation and ensure a seamless migration.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and modernize a legacy trading application
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and key stakeholders
• Improve application performance with a focus on low-latency processing
• Support architectural decisions and technical solution design
• Ensure security best practices are incorporated throughout the migration

Required Skills

• Strong software development (Java and/or C++)
• Proven knowledge within Trading, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Electronic Trading environments
• Hands-on knowledge with low-latency and high-performance systems
• Knowledge modernizing or replacing legacy applications
• Solid understanding of software security and secure application design
• Knowledge with messaging technologies and integration patterns
• Strong stakeholder communication skills

Nice to Have

• FIX Protocol
• OMS / EMS
• Market Data systems knowledge
• Kafka, MQ, or similar messaging platforms
• Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Location: Frankfurt am Main
• Working Model: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Long-term engagement
• Language: English required, German beneficial
