CIBC Capital Markets London – Corporate Banking Summer Analyst Programme

Through our Capital Markets Summer Analyst programme, you will get direct work experience and exposure to the Corporate Banking team at CIBC. CIBC offers investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and top-ranked research to corporate, government and institutional clients around the world. In Europe the Bank’s focus is on Infrastructure, Renewables and Energy Transition.

 

As a Capital Markets Summer Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in an orientation session to learn more about the bank and our Capital Markets business here in the region. Work within deal teams on any live transactions taking place, gaining experience across different products, industries and clients

• Understand how the different businesses and markets operate by rotating around various product desks

• Assist in idea generation, financial markets analysis, and risk monitoring

• Work on specific projects across various industries throughout the origination and execution phase to the asset management

• Attend and contribute to team meetings

Key Requirements:

• Strong academic results

• Must be Final or Penultimate Year Student

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills

• A team player who can communicate complex ideas simply and effectively

• A genuine interest in a financial career and able to demonstrate a proactive approach to understanding both CIBC and our wider business interests

• Must be available from June 2027-September 2027 when the programme is running

• Fluent in English and the right to work in the UK
