About the Role
As our Country Design Lead for Turkey, you'll shape the creative direction of Canva's content for one of our key growth markets — making sure everything we put out feels genuinely local, culturally resonant, and valuable to Turkish users. This is a hands-on role that sits right at the intersection of design craft, cultural insight, and strategic execution.

What you'll do 

• Developing and driving the creative direction for the Turkish market, translating country strategy into culturally relevant templates and elements across social media, presentations, websites, and print
• Overseeing content creation and curation — from design kits and campaign assets to creator briefs — ensuring outputs meet Canva's standards for visual quality and cultural authenticity
• Leveraging AI tools and scalable workflows to accelerate content production without sacrificing craft
• Leading quality control across all content outputs, maintaining alignment with brand guidelines and high design standards
• Managing and mentoring local freelance designers and creators, providing clear briefs, structured feedback, and ongoing direction
• Building strong working relationships with the Country Content Strategy Lead, Marketing, SEO, and Community teams to align on creative goals and execution
• Conducting content audits and performance analysis to surface gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement

You're Probably a Match If

• You have a strong design portfolio that demonstrates both visual craft and cultural sensitivity — you know what great looks like, and you know how to get there at pace
• You're genuinely excited about using AI tools to generate, iterate, and scale content — you see them as a creative accelerator, not a shortcut
• You have a deep understanding of Turkish culture, design aesthetics, and consumer behaviour, and you know how to translate that into content that lands
• You're comfortable juggling multiple workstreams and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment, without letting quality slip
• You've worked with freelancers or creators before and know how to brief, review, and develop talent effectively
• You're a strong collaborator who builds trust quickly — across teams, functions, and time zones — and can translate strategic direction into real creative output

We sit within the International Supergroup and work closely with Content & Discovery, Marketing, SEO, and in-market teams to deliver truly local content - high-quality templates and elements that reflect local culture, meet user needs, and drive engagement and growth at scale.
