The role: Country Manager - Netherlands

As Country Manager - Netherlands, you will be the face of Spiko in the Dutch market. Your mission is to make Spiko impossible to ignore in the Netherlands: build our public presence, own the local ecosystem, and turn visibility into a growth engine that fuels the sales team on the ground.

This is not a pure sales role. You will work hand in hand with our Dutch Account Executives and their Team Leader in a two-way relationship:

• you feed them qualified leads generated through your partnerships and local visibility

• you can call on their support to make major events a success

Your own focus, one level up, is on representation, partnerships, and market development. You report directly to the General Manager France, Benelux, and Southern Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Public representation: Be Spiko's voice in the Netherlands across media, conferences, and industry events. Build the brand's local credibility and reputation.

• Events strategy: Identify the events worth attending, show up, and turn presence into pipeline. For major events, rally the sales team and make them a success together.

• Lead generation for the team: Convert your partnerships and local presence into a steady flow of qualified leads for the IDutch Account Executives. Collaborate with marketing on mapping the appropriate channels to sponsor for market growth.

• Partnerships: Build and nurture a network of local partners: chartered accountants, part-time CFOs, VCs, and other prescribers who can channel treasury opportunities to Spiko.

• Local visibility: Make Spiko more visible in the Netherlands every single day, through consistent presence, content, and relationship-building.

• Ecosystem intelligence: Map the Dutch market, understand its specificities, and feed insights back to the GTM and product teams.

• Reporting & Insights: Track leads generated, events attended, and partnership pipeline value. Report regularly to the GM France, Benelux, and Southern Europe.

Who we're looking for

Requirements (must haves)

• Experience: 8+ years in BD, partnerships, or a market-facing role, in exceptional professional environments (typically tier 1 startups). Prior experience launching or scaling a company's presence in the Netherlands is a strong plus.

• Network: you already have a foothold in the Dutch startup, fintech, or finance ecosystem: founders, VCs, CFOs, or chartered accountants.

• Presence: you are comfortable on stage, in front of media, and in a room full of prospects. You represent a brand naturally.

• Mindset: extremely ambitious, eager to open and own a market from the front.

• Autonomy: capable of building a local presence from scratch and setting your own agenda.

• Resilience: We recruit people who get things done, rather than people who make excuses.

• Excellent communication: native speaker in the Netherlands, fluent in English.

• Traveling: across the Netherlands for events and at least 4 times per year to Paris
