Overview:

Sentara Health is currently seeking a Full Time, Day Shift, Courier based out of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA.  Hours will be 10:45AM-7:15PM, Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and 2 holidays per year.

Picks up and delivers various items such as deposits, medications, equipment, supplies, x-ray films, lab specimens, letters, marketing materials and packages. Required to operate vehicle safely, keeps vehicle clean and well maintained; maintain vehicle safety logs and submit requests for vehicle maintenance/repairs in a timely manner. Tracks lab specimens, reports, supplies and all barcoded items.

Education

• High School diploma, or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure

• Driver License

• 1 year Courier experience in lieu of High School Education

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
