What you'll do

  • Manage a portfolio focused on recourse commercial real estate transactions within the Wealth Management division.
  • Partner directly with Relationship Managers and product specialists -and, where required, with clients- to understand credit requirements and optimize risk structures.
  • Provide detailed risk analysis, communicate decisions promptly and transparently and clearly document approval conditions.
  • Monitor the portfolio to identify emerging risks promptly and assess how global, regional, and local market events could affect individual exposures and the portfolio as a whole.
  • Maintain satisfactory portfolio quality by managing risk concentrations and limits within approved risk appetite and in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Work with both internal and external auditors to ensure that audits progress smoothly and any issues raised are resolved promptly.
  • Support any ad hoc projects assigned.
  • Maintain strong credit and operational discipline by ensuring that trades are properly booked and recorded, covenants and conditions are monitored on time, credit terms are documented accurately, and risk-reporting systems contain complete, timely, and accurate information.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to colleagues at different levels of seniority, strengthening the team’s commercial real estate expertise and supporting continued professional growth.
  • Set clear objectives and strategic priorities for yourself and assigned resources, ensuring alignment with departmental and bank-wide goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
