Winthrop Technologies is Europe’s only dedicated data centre delivery partner, offering full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning. Headquartered in Dublin, we deliver projects across Europe and have become the most trusted name in our sector.

We have an opportunity for a CSA Construction Manager on a major data centre project in West Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for or leading and managing the CSA team, overseeing the delivery of all construction, services, and MEP coordination works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing subcontractors, coordinating design and installation activities, monitoring progress, resolving technical issues, supporting commercial and QA/QC processes, and driving successful project close-out and handover.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the CSA team (supervisors, engineers, and package managers) to ensure successful delivery of all CSA scope.
  • Oversee site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and Safety Team, embedding a strong culture of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental excellence.
  • Coordinate and monitor procurement, design, engineering, and installation of CSA works.
  • Develop a delivery strategy for CSA work packages, supporting the commercial team in preparing scope documents and subcontract packages.
  • Review client designs, identify discrepancies or deviations from standards, and lead resolution to protect the company’s contractual and commercial interests.
  • Work closely with QA/QC teams to develop and manage site quality plans, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, including subcontractor performance, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
  • Develop, manage, and report on project schedules in conjunction with Planning, Project Management, and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with the design team to prioritise and issue required construction information in line with programme demands.
  • Chair and host weekly progress meetings with CSA subcontractors and ensure accurate documentation and records are maintained.
  • Attend project meetings (internal reviews, design coordination, planning, handover) and provide clear reporting to management.
  • Oversee project close-out activities including punch lists, safety files, QA documentation, and handover requirements.
  • Support commercial meetings, ensuring all variations are captured and communicated to enable accurate client change management.
  • Review drawings, setting-out information, and ensure coordination of “builders works” drawings related to MEP services.
  • Prepare and issue daily and weekly project reports.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s in construction-related degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a CSA Construction Manager or in a similar senior role on large-scale construction projects (data centre experience highly desirable).
  • Strong track record in managing and successfully delivering CSA work packages.
  • Ability to maintain oversight of the overall project while managing technical details.
  • Experience in project scheduling, programming, sequencing, and producing look-ahead forecasts.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing internal construction teams.
  • Experience delivering large-scale, fast-track, and technically complex projects.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Benefits

·        Opportunity to work on Europe’s largest and most advanced data centre projects.

·        Career growth and professional development in a fast-expanding sector.

·        Competitive salary package.

·        Supportive, dynamic, and collaborative team culture.
