Job Description

Band 6: £39,959 - £48,117 

Full time hours: 37.5 per week

Permanent contract

The CT/MRI department at Queen Alexandra Hospital is a fun, dynamic, vibrant and progressive department with state-of-the-art technology, located on the South coast of England in a lively city with deep historical roots.

We currently have vacancy for an enthusiastic, driven, and motivated Band 6 Radiographers, with a keen interest to specialise in CT and MRI scanning to join our team.

The department has the benefit of cutting-edge CT and MRI technology and provides staff with the exciting opportunity to work with the latest technology in a clinical setting. The department is equipped with 6 CT scanners and 3 MRI scanners with all staff encouraged to rotate through both modalities. This post is to support the addition of a new MRI unit.

We are an innovative team, with a very friendly and caring atmosphere, currently operating a 12hr shift system over 7 days. There is also a requirement to contribute to the night shift and on-call rotas.

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc (Hons) degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging
  • Hold a current HCPC registration 
  • 2 years post graduate experience
  • Have portfolio evidence of CPD

Desirable 

  • Previous NHS experience
  • 4+ years post graduate experience
  • 2 years MRI experience in a wide range of clinical examinations
  • Extended Clinical role e.g. IV cannulations qualification
  • Post graduate qualification
