What will you do? 

As a Customer Onboarding & Deployment Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, organization, and implementation of projects for Integrated Procurement (IP), Caterpillar’s largest ecommerce platform, which connects customer systems to dealer systems to procure parts from the dealers and grow ecommerce sales. You will be responsible for leading the onboarding and deployment of Integrated Procurement solutions for new customers. This role serves as the primary coordinator between customers, dealers, and Caterpillar to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and long-term customer success. The position requires strong project management and implementation planning skills to drive customer onboarding activities from initiation through successful production deployment and adoption. The role supports strategic eCommerce growth initiatives by enabling customers to integrate Caterpillar digital purchasing capabilities into their procurement processes.

Responsibilities include:

Customer Onboarding & Deployment

• Lead end-to-end onboarding activities for Integrated Procurement customers.

• Develop and manage onboarding plans, timelines, milestones, and implementation schedules.

• Coordinate onboarding readiness reviews and deployment activities.

• Ensure successful customer transition from onboarding to ongoing support.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary project contact for customer onboarding engagements.

• Coordinate activities across customers, dealers, product owners, engineering teams, support teams, and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate project meetings and status reviews.

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Project Management

• Manage multiple concurrent onboarding and deployment projects.

• Track project scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

• Develop contingency plans to address implementation challenges.

• Monitor progress and ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives.

Reporting & Metrics

• Track onboarding performance metrics and project health indicators.

• Provide regular status reporting to leadership.

• Monitor customer adoption and deployment outcomes.

This position works directly with Slovakia based leadership and Cat Digital leadership in the US. 

What you have: 

• IT Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.

• IT Project Control and Reporting: Knowledge of project control and reporting; ability to monitor the vital signs of an IT project while managing its progress and delivery schedule.

• Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical and strategic planning in support of (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) the overall business plan.
• Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects. 

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. 

• Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. 

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and French is required. 
   

Top Candidates will also have: 

• Experience leading customer onboarding, deployment, implementation, or integration projects. 

• Experience working with procurement, eCommerce, digital commerce, supplier, dealer, or customer-facing platforms. 

• Strong facilitation and relationship management skills. 

• Experience coordinating activities across business and technical teams. 

• Ability to work with global stakeholders and customers. 

• Advanced knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and other business software, combined with strong technical aptitude.
