What you'll do

  • Primary customer pricing partner: Serve as the central pricing contact for assigned accounts, aligning with Sales and Business Unit teams on account pricing strategy and customer growth.
  • Annual price negotiation: Support annual customer price negotiations by analyzing pricing history, market dynamics, profitability, and account strategy to develop data-driven recommendations and drive alignment with Sales and Business Unit teams.
  • Profitability modeling: Develop and maintain pricing analysis tools and profitability models to evaluate promotions, discounts, and custom contract bids.
  • Price leakage tracking: Audit historical sales data to identify and address discounting behaviors, margin discrepancies, and unapproved price exceptions.
  • Compliance and governance: Ensure adherence to corporate margin policy, price consistency, license requirements, LOA, NDAs, high-risk part controls, and related pricing standards.
  • Customer expertise: Build knowledge of assigned accounts, end-customer relationships, customer ecosystems, and pricing history.
  • Value-based pricing support: Support bundle pricing, system/software pricing, rebates, and other value-based pricing approaches.
  • Cross-functional execution: Present pricing insights in strategy discussions and partner with Sales to develop effective pricing structures for future opportunities.
  • KPI tracking and success matrix adherence: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the pricer success matrix and adhere to defined KPI expectations to support consistent execution, accountability, pricing discipline, and continuous improvement.

Customer Price Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Customer Price Analyst to join our Central Pricing Team. This role evaluates customer behavior, competitive dynamics, and business performance to support pricing strategies that drive customer growth, gross margin, and market competitiveness. The analyst will partner closely with Sales and Business Unit teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications, Skills, and Preferred Experience

  • Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field required; 2+ years of relevant experience in pricing, commercial analysis, sales operations, finance, customer operations, contract management, or another analytical corporate environment preferred.

  • Business acumen: Ability to connect pricing decisions to customer growth, gross margin, free cash flow, and account strategy.

  • Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain pricing rationale to Sales, Business Unit, and executive stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder management: Proven ability to collaborate across functions, resolve competing priorities, and drive alignment.

  • Analytical ability: Strong quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Systems and tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools required. Experience with ERP, CPQ, CRM, BI, or pricing platforms such as Model N, SAP, Power BI, or Pricefx is beneficial but not essential.

  • Collaboration and continuous improvement: Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to improving process speed, quality, and pricing intelligence.
