Our IT organization has a critical role in driving extraordinary business results. Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative people with a passion for learning. Specific skills also may include:

  • Analytical mindset and a can-do approach to problem-solving

  • Hands-on experience with a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) such as Elastic Stack or Splunk

  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, iOS, and virtual environments

  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP protocols; Tools: TCPDump, Wireshark, Nmap)

  • Forensic knowledge (FTK, Autopsy, Volatility)

  • Review logs to identify unusual behavior in networks and devices

  • Endpoint Detection knowledge (Wazuh, Velociraptor, OSSEC, OSQuery, OpenEDR) 

  • Experience with network-based intrusion detection (IDS/IPS - SNORT or Suricata)

  • Understand email protection, investigations (analyze email headers), and protocols (IMAP, SMTP, POP3)

  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

  • Ability to program and write scripts (Python, Java, Go, or any other modern language)

  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for problem identification and solving

  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities

  • A strong appetite for continuous learning

  • Great verbal and written skills, and a willingness to apply them to documentation

Nice to have:

  • Training or certifications (CompTIA Network+, Security+)

  • Experience or training with AI or LLM

Note: Candidate must be in the Chicago/Schaumburg office 2 days a week.
