The Opportunity:

As the Cybersecurity Engineer Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising multiple Enterprise Security Operations Center teams and overseeing the monitoring of both unclassified and classified networks across geographically dispersed locations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to guide teams through complex cybersecurity challenges.

 

What You’ll Work On:

• Lead and manage cybersecurity engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring efficient operations.
• Oversee and direct incident response activities, including detection, analysis, and remediation of security incidents.
• Maintain proficiency in cybersecurity technologies such as Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Firewalls, SIEM, Log Analysis, and Incident Response.
• Work closely with other IT teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure comprehensive security coverage and effective communication.
• Apply post-incident analysis techniques and root-cause remediation planning to drive improvements in security posture.
• Clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and understanding across the organization.
• Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with established policies and mission objectives, maintaining eligibility for access to classified information.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experience in the cybersecurity field with supervision responsibilities for multiple Enterprise Security Operations Center teams and monitoring multiple unclassified and classified networks spanning multiple geographically disbursed locations
• Experience in cybersecurity technologies, practices, and principles such as Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Firewalls, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Log Analysis, and Incident Response
• Experience leading teams, managing projects, and providing technical guidance
• Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification

 

Nice If You Have:

• Knowledge of post-incident analysis techniques and root-cause remediation planning
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, SOC operations, and incident response techniques
• Ability to handle security incidents and vulnerabilities
• Possession of excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• TS/SCI clearance

 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
