Cycle Count Operator - 1st shift

The Cycle Count Operator at GE Aerospace in Clearwater performs teardown and counting of reels and trays using an X‑Ray Counter, scanning items and updating counted quantities into Mycenter. Responsibilities include scanning reels to teardown locations, returning baskets and magazines, accurately putting reels away into towers or racks, and executing finance/variance-driven cycle counts while recording and submitting physical count sheets to Noel for validation

Working at our Clearwater Facilities

Clearwater is a provider of engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics and MRO services to commercial and military customers.  Products and technologies here are diverse and highly sophisticated. Your work will contribute to systems that manage the performance of Boeing 737 and 787 aircraft as well as F-18s, F-35s and Harriers and Apaches.  You’ll be part of a 400+ team that includes people from 25 distinct nationalities with fluency across 27 languages. Essential Responsibilities:

Teardown & Count

• Removing the reels from feeders and scanning each reel to a teardown location
• Returning baskets and magazines to their proper location
• Count each reel as it comes from teardown using the X-Ray Counter and updating the counted quantities into Mycenter

Put Away

• Once each reel is counted, the reels must be returned into stock either into towers or racks by accurately scanning each reel to its proper location.

Cycle Counts

• Based on daily list driven by finance and variance count cycles, reels and trays must be retrieved from its location, brought to the x-ray counter, count the material, and update the count on a physical sheet and turn into Noel for count/inventory validation.

 

Requirements include

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining. 
• Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions which may be technical in nature.
• Ability to lift/move material up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

 

Desirable qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of industry or similarly related job experience.
• Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment.
• Prior experience with LEAN & Continuous Improvement.
