Data Product Owner Lead

Adaptfy is growing! At Adaptfy we are looking for a Product Owner with 5+ years of experience, to join our Data and Analytics Team in Amsterdam.

What you will do

• Champion the cause of our clients by leading development of Data & Analytics products and their implementation; and help build lasting client relationships

• Lead projects and client interactions

• Set up and facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions with client teams to understand business processes, aspirations & challenges, define product requirements, and shape roadmap priorities for effective Data & Analytics solutions.

• Shape a clear product vision for each engagement — defining the outcomes that matter, identifying where current processes fall short, and ensuring solutions are designed around measurable business impact

• Prepare viable and efficient plans for project execution, in conjunction with various stakeholders across multiple organizations and disciplines

• Actively manage execution of Data Analytics projects with activities including, but not limited to:

-Define sprint goals and priorities in close collaboration with the development team; run or oversee regular sprint ceremonies to maintain cadence, reveal blockers, and keep delivery aligned with product goals

-Monitor & manage project progress, delivery risks, and ensure project completes on time, within budget and the full scope is delivered

-Maintain and communicate a clear product roadmap to client stakeholders, balancing short-term delivery needs with longer-term product goals

-Trouble shoot & help manage challenges faced by the team

-Ensure effective & timely communication with all stakeholders

-Take ownership of project governance and adherence to execution plans

• Lead a cross cultural and multi-skilled team of solution architects, functional experts, Data & Analytics developers to design and implement effective solutions

• Partner clients in adoption of the developed solutions to derive business process improvements and ROI

• Have a willingness to travel as needed for client projects

• Support sales efforts via preparation of proposals, case studies and client presentations

What you’ll bring

Must haves:

• 5+ years of experience in Data analytics, technology or consulting project execution & delivery, with 1+ years at a project lead level

• 2+ years of experience with data & analytics solutions delivery, with exposure to cloud computing environments

• A degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, etc.) or MBA

• Experience in product ownership and project management, including backlog management, stakeholder alignment, and delivering successful data & analytics products

• Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile way of working and running scrum teams

• Consulting bent of mind, with strong business acumen, problem solving abilities and quantitative aptitude

• Minimum basic level programming skills in SQL with high levels of comfort in handling multidimensional data sets

• Awareness of Data & Analytics solution concepts and current trends on Data Warehousing, BI, Reporting, Data Science and AI

• Strong communication skills (oral and written); fluent in English. Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus

• Ability to innovate and deal with a constantly changing environment

• Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across clients, peers, and supervisors

Good to have:

• Knowledge of Python, PowerBI, Tableau, cloud analytics solutions, Data Science Modelling, Deep Learning & AI

• Knowledge of Data warehouse design, development and maintenance

• Experience with designing and developing solution architecture

• Experience with product discovery techniques such as user research, opportunity mapping, or jobs-to-be-done frameworks
