Database Administrator - Level 2

Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a Database Administrator – Level 2 Database Administrator – Level 2 (Hyderabad) Experience: 5+ Years MAJOR RESPOSIBILITIES Install, configure, upgrade, and patch database software including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Manage and maintain database environments across development, testing, and production systems. Perform database housekeeping activities including capacity planning, backup validation, and space management. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting Monitor database performance and optimize through indexing, query tuning, execution plan analysis, and resource optimization. Troubleshoot complex database issues such as deadlocks, blocking, performance degradation, replication failures, and data corruption. Provide Level 2 (L2) support and beyond, handling escalated incidents and root‑cause analysis. SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB). Hands‑on experience with HA/DR architectures, database security, and backup/recovery strategies. Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning techniques, and monitoring tools. Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure and AWS is highly desirable. QUALIFICATION Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. Higher education (Master’s degree or equivalent) is an added advantage.
