Salary: Up to £68,000 dependent on skills & experience + bonus scheme

Role description:

This role involves leading and delivering small to medium-sized projects or work packages, ensuring successful outcomes aligned to customer requirements. You will coordinate project management activities, support informed decision-making through analysis, manage control accounts or portfolio projects, and lead a team of up to 10 professionals to achieve project objectives.

Core duties:

• Taking accountability for team budgets, performance, delivery outcomes and the successful achievement of project objectives
• Applying and promoting effective project management practices, ensuring processes are followed and tailored appropriately
• Adapting plans, priorities and resources to address operational challenges, risks and changing project requirements
• Leading Life Cycle Management activities, including tailoring, governance reviews, stakeholder coordination and review readiness
• Championing a positive safety culture by maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
• Leading and developing a small team, providing coaching, training, performance feedback and day-to-day direction

Essential skills:

• Strong project management expertise, including methodologies, governance, tools and best practices
• Proven ability to solve complex project challenges and make informed decisions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence effectively
• Good commercial, financial and business awareness, with an understanding of project delivery environments
• Degree-qualified, professionally qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience
• Professional project management accreditation (e.g. APM, PMI) or experience, with the ability to undertake LCM Assessor responsibilities
