What you'll do
- Maintain the integrity of the company's demand planning system, acting as the primary system user and ensuring forecast outputs are accurate, reliable, and actionable.
- Lead the forecast review and validation process, providing regular reporting on forecast accuracy and contributing to the continuous improvement of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Analyse historical sales trends, market activity, and business insights to continuously improve forecasting accuracy and customer service levels.
- Monitor inventory performance by producing out-of-stock reports, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions to minimise lost sales.
- Proactively identify inventory risks and opportunities, working closely with Purchasing, Operations, and Sales teams to implement appropriate actions.
- Manage demand planning for new product launches, product transitions, and discontinued ranges to minimise excess stock and reduce obsolescence.
- Collaborate with Sales and Purchasing teams to incorporate commercial insights into demand forecasts and ensure alignment across departments.
- Work closely with Operations and third-party logistics partners to review and optimise inventory level targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management processes.
- Contribute as a valued member of an experienced and expanding Purchasing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and analytical professional to join a fast-paced, growing purchasing function based in Santry. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing demand planning and forecasting processes, acting as the link between commercial and operational teams.
