Job Description

About the Role 

As Demi Chef, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Prepare and present food items for a la carte, buffet, and pastry services to high standards 

  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organisation of the kitchen at all times 

  • Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs 

  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience 

  • Stay updated with the latest food trends and contribute creatively to menu development 

Qualifications

About you 

We are looking for someone who ideally has: 

  • An experienced chef with a minimum of 3 years in a 4-star Hotel or high-end restaurants, with demonstrated experience with pastries, cakes, breads (Sourdough based, seasonal and cultural) 

  • Qualified in culinary arts with strong technical skills and abilities 

  • Creative, self-motivated, and passionate about food 

  • Able to work independently during shifts, managing food preparation and service 

  • Capable of following detailed instructions for food preparation 

  • Flexible and available to work across a 7-day operation, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
