We’re looking for an experienced Dental Assistant who is confident chairside, works well with clinicians and takes pride in keeping the clinical area organised and running smoothly.

You’ll support a variety of treatments including general, preventative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as clear aligners, orthodontics, emergency care and wisdom teeth extractions. This is a great opportunity to use your existing experience while continuing to build your skills within an established practice.

Job Description

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on chairside support and help keep appointments running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and equipment
• Clean, sterilise and maintain instruments in line with infection control requirements
• Keep clinical areas clean, organised and well stocked
• Support dentists and the wider clinical team during appointments
• Help patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit
• Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical area

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or at least two years’ dental assisting experience
• Sound knowledge of sterilisation and infection control procedures
• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures and practice software
• A calm and friendly approach when working with patients
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
• A reliable, team-focused approach and clear communication skills
