Deputy Manager

Role Overview:

The Deputy Manager – Procurement will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for both direct and indirect materials, including raw materials, consumables, CAPEX, and OPEX requirements. The role demands strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and a deep understanding of procurement processes within the solar manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure cost optimization while maintaining quality and timely delivery.

• Direct & Indirect Procurement:

  • Handle procurement of raw materials, consumables, and indirect items.
  • Manage CAPEX and OPEX procurement for plant operations and projects.

• Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for various categories.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure compliance with company standards.

• Negotiation & Contracting:

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Draft and review contracts to safeguard company interests.

• Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, agreements, and invoices.

• Cost & Risk Management:

  • Monitor market trends and assess risks related to supply chain disruptions.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes in solar manufacturing.
• Expertise in Direct & Indirect Procurement, CAPEX, OPEX, and raw material sourcing.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration.
• MBA or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain or Operations (preferred).
