Job Description

Your new role

As our Design Packaging Expert, you will lead the development and implementation of design packaging solutions for our international Own Brand food portfolio. This role combines packaging design expertise with project management responsibility, bringing Own Brand products to life across multiple food categories. You will ensure that packaging is visually compelling, brand-consistent, compliant with relevant food regulations, and optimized for both wholesale and foodservice channels.

Where your expertise is needed

  • Develop and design packaging for a wide range of Own Brand products across various Food categories.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve international design and style guidelines to ensure a consistent visual brand identity.
  • Translate product information, specifications, and claims into clear, attractive, and customer focused visual elements for packaging artwork.
  • Ensure packaging designs comply with all relevant European packaging food labeling requirements, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain packaging master data, artwork specifications, and packaging-related information for multiple sales channels, including online platforms.
  • Coordinate packaging design projects from concept to final production, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with international sourcing, quality assurance, marketing, product development, design agencies and supplier teams (printers, packaging suppliers) to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement to packaging design.
  • Monitor and manage project-related design budgets, process invoices, and ensure the cost-effective delivery of packaging projects.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication, Marketing or equivalent experience with minimum 3 years relevant work experience preferably in retail or FMCG environment or packaging industry.
  • Knowledgeable of European packaging legislation, standardization, food contact requirements, packaging materials, printing processes, artwork development, and packaging production.
  • Strong visual design and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial awareness and cost-conscious decision-making.
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
