About this role
About the Role
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable data-driven platforms powering our IoT and analytics products. You’ll work across services built with Node.js and Python, managing data pipelines, APIs, and integrations with databases like PostgreSQL (TimescaleDB), MongoDB, and Redis. The ideal candidate is a system-level thinker with a strong understanding of backend architecture, messaging systems, and containerized cloud deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and manage data storage solutions with PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB, MongoDB, and Redis.
Implement message queues and event-driven pipelines using RabbitMQ (or similar).
Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations.
Ensure data consistency and performance across time-series and transactional data systems.
Work closely with frontend, data, and AI teams to design APIs and backend logic.
Integrate and optimize object storage solutions such as AWS S3 for file and telemetry management.
Implement containerized microservices using Docker and maintain clean CI/CD workflows.
Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Contribute to architectural discussions and help evolve system design patterns.
Required Skills
Strong experience in Node.js (Restify, Expressjs, Nestjs).
Fundamental knowledge of Python.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB).
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and caching layers (Redis).
Proficiency with message brokers / queues such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.
Hands-on experience with AWS S3 or other cloud storage systems.
Working knowledge of Docker for microservices and container orchestration.
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with unit testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
At least 2-3+ years of experience of building APIs and data pipelines at scale.
Experience with time-series databases.
Exposure to IoT data systems, telemetry processing, or large-scale event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with microservices design patterns and API gateways.
Experience deploying services on AWS..
Knowledge of data streaming or processing frameworks (Flink, Kafka Streams, etc.) is a plus.
Soft Skills
Ownership mindset with ability to work end-to-end on backend features.
Strong collaboration skills able to work with product, data, and AI teams.
Clear communicator who documents and explains architectural decisions.
Proactive about performance, maintainability, and code quality.
