eScribers is seeking Digital Court Reporters to support our growing workload in the Washington, D.C. area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building experience in digital court reporting and working in a professional legal environment. Prior digital court reporting experience is not required. Training will be provided to candidates selected for the position.

General Requirements

  • Must have a Windows-based computer capable of running the required reporting software and programs.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to assignments in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Must be willing and available to work in person in Washington, D.C., up to five days per week.
  • Be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Compensation and Onboarding

You will be an independent contractor and will be compensated on a per-project/assignment basis.

Compensation will include:

  • Daily appearance fee
  • Travel expenses reimbursed, if necessary
  • Commission on copy sales and exhibit handling
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit

Training and Onboarding

Candidates selected for this position will complete an onboarding and training program that includes required paperwork, computer setup, training on reporting software and equipment, and familiarization with eScribers' programs, procedures, and workflow systems.

No prior digital court reporting experience is required. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn the technology, follow reporting procedures, maintain professionalism, and meet required deadlines.

Additional information about the onboarding and training process will be provided to candidates selected for the position.

Work Availability

This position requires a strong commitment to in-person assignments in Washington, D.C. Candidates must be willing to accept assignments and work up to five days per week, based on business needs and scheduling availability.

Priority for work is given to court reporters who maintain excellent quality standards, reliability, professionalism, and timely submission of assignments.
