What you'll do

  • Lead the creation and execution of a cohesive global MSL excellence strategy aligned with medical and corporate objectives.

  • Oversee global processes supporting Field Medical, such as scientific engagement planning, territory management, stakeholder mapping, and compliant documentation.
  • Collaborate on digital transformation initiatives (e.g., Veeva PromoMats and CRM, Learning Management Systems, insights platforms, congress planning systems) to optimize Field Medical workflows and data visibility.
  • Ensure operational readiness for global milestones, launches, and cross-functional initiatives.

The Opportunity:

As we continue to expand our global footprint, we seek an innovative and experienced Director, Global MSL Excellence to lead the development, standardization, and continuous enhancement of Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Medical Advisor (“Field Medical”) capabilities across regions. Reporting to the Head of Medical Content and Training (MCT) within Global Medical Excellence, this role is a critical driver of global Field Medical strategy, performance, and operational excellence. The Director will design and implement frameworks, tools, processes, and training that strengthen the effectiveness, consistency, and scientific impact of the Field Medical organization.

This highly visible role partners closely with Global Medical Strategy, Field Medical, Medical Content and Training, Medical Information, Clinical Development, Compliance, and regional Medical Affairs teams to ensure globally harmonized and high impact Field Medical roles. Key responsibilities in this role include:

Global Field Medical Strategy & Standards

  • Lead the creation and execution of a cohesive global MSL excellence strategy aligned with medical and corporate objectives.

  • Establish global standards for scientific exchange, insights generation, field activity execution, and external engagement.

Competency Framework, Onboarding & Capability Development

Base Pay Salary Range
$177,000—$221,000 USD
