What you'll do

  • Leads the work of an Information Technology (IT) work unit(s) across a minimum of 75% of the Health System sites including Albany Med, Columbia Memorial Hospital, The Saratoga Hospital, and Glens Falls Hospital.
  • Assists executives and peers in developing application and technology management strategies and tactics.
  • Develops and evolves the Albany Med Health System's technology portfolio in alignment with the application and technology architectural framework and standards.
  • Directs business process analysis, research and analysis, and project management methodology to assure understanding of user and business requirements and ensure those requirements can be agreed and achieved through high quality deliverables either through Vendor delivered solutions or internally developed programs.
  • Works closely with the business/clinicals use leadership, vendors, developers, and engineers throughout the planning cycle to align application advancements.
  • Understand the interactions between systems, applications, technologies and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions.
  • Educate the workforce as to programming and analysis best practices.
  • Analyze and test systems to assure usability, performance, security, and reliability.
