About Lumen Energy
Lumen Energy is the modern solar broker for the nation's largest real estate owners, transforming underutilized rooftops into profitable solar revenue. Our proprietary Lux Engine provides investment-grade financial and technical analysis at the portfolio level, giving owners clarity and confidence immediately. Once vetted, projects are put to bid, and leading developers compete transparently. With Lumen Energy on their side of the table, providing white-glove service at every step, owners unlock predictable ancillary income, advance sustainability and resiliency goals, and scale solar adoption across their portfolios—without distraction from their core business.
Backed by world-class investors including Lowercarbon Capital and Designer Fund, we work with leading commercial real estate customers such as Nuveen, KKR, and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. We're a team of builders from Stripe, Google X, Arcadia, and Siemens, united by our mission to power the built world with profitable clean energy.
Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing function during a critical growth phase. Reporting to our Head of Sales Operations, you'll initially manage a team of two direct reports (GTM & Campaign Manager and Content & Events Manager) and drive the full marketing strategy—from brand/product positioning and demand generation to content creation and event execution.
This is a rare opportunity to build and lead an AI-savvy, high-impact marketing team at a mission-driven company transforming how institutional real estate owners approach clean energy. You'll work at the intersection of product marketing, demand generation, and brand storytelling, with direct influence on pipeline, revenue, and company positioning in a market showing unprecedented demand growth during a transformational time in our energy history.
The ideal candidate is a player-coach who can both set strategic direction and roll up their sleeves as an individual contributor when the team has gaps. You bring deep B2B and product marketing expertise, a track record of building teams and processes, and the ability to drive measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You are a people-first leader and generous collaborator: quick to credit, slow to blame, and easy to work alongside
