Job Description
As a Dispatchable Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission-critical role involves working on a variety of technologies, focusing on ultrafiltration (UF) but including media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), deoxygenation, and electro-deionization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on various treatment plant instrumentation
• Consult with customer management and operation teams
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Monitor and optimize equipment performance
• Install and provide maintenance activities on various UF membrane configurations
• Provide excellent mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, process and controls on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors pumps, blowers, instrumentation, chemical injection systems and automation hardware
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
• Review customer plant installations and compare against Veolia's reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)
• Train customer operators around operation and maintenance of their system
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
• Excellent customer service skills

Education & Experience:

Required

• Mechanically inclined
• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred

• Electrical and/or controls experience
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation

Working Conditions:

• Based in Oakville, covering GTA and 10% overnight travel 
• Must be able to travel and work in Canada and travel to the US for training
• You will be handling chemicals

Compensation:
The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $30.00 - $38.00 CAD.
