  • Audits and reviews driver qualification files for compliance.
  • Makes decisions regarding driver eligibility based on FMCSA regulations and company protocols.
  • Conducts coaching sessions with management and drivers as necessary.
  • Maintains driver records in Workday and SharePoint.
  • Handles customer complaints related to drivers.
  • Maintains DOT records in accordance with regulations.
  • Interprets and applies FMCSA regulations and company policies to determine driver qualification status and identify compliance risks.
  • Conducts research, compiles data and creates reports as necessary.
  • Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Driver Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the driver qualification process, monitoring compliance with applicable safety regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Audits and reviews driver qualification files for compliance.
  • Makes decisions regarding driver eligibility based on FMCSA regulations and company protocols. 
  • Conducts coaching sessions with management and drivers as necessary.
  • Maintains driver records in Workday and SharePoint.
  • Handles customer complaints related to drivers.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act (FMCSA) and Occupational Safety Hazard Act (OSHA) regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be available afterhours, including weekends to support stores via phone, email, and text.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds at times.
