Early Years Educator / HLTA - Lambeth

Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £110-£130 per day, depending on experience

A welcoming primary school in Lambeth is looking for a confident and experienced Early Years Educator (EYE) / Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join its Early Years team for an immediate start.

This varied role involves working across both Reception and Nursery, with responsibility for leading learning activities and lessons throughout the week. The school is looking for someone who can confidently take the lead in the classroom, deliver engaging sessions and provide a consistent approach across both settings.

The Role

You will work across the Early Years provision on the following schedule:

• Monday & Tuesday: Reception
• Wednesday - Friday: Nursery

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading planned lessons and learning activities across Reception and Nursery
• Delivering engaging sessions in line with the EYFS framework
• Supporting early phonics, communication, language and numeracy development
• Creating stimulating, play-based learning opportunities
• Supporting children's social, emotional and physical development
• Adapting activities to meet different abilities and developmental stages
• Establishing positive routines and encouraging good behaviour
• Monitoring children's engagement and sharing observations with the wider team
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other Early Years staff
• Helping maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

About You

The school is looking for a proactive Early Years Educator / HLTA who is confident leading learning and adapting their approach to different age groups.

You must have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant recognised equivalent
• Experience working within an Early Years or primary school setting
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Confidence leading lessons and structured learning activities
• The ability to manage a classroom and establish positive routines
• A nurturing, engaging and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Experience working across both Nursery and Reception would be particularly beneficial.
