The Opportunity
Our client, an established M&E engineering specialist based in Wigan, is looking for an Electrical Supervisor to run their electrical installation teams on live projects.
The work is weighted toward education, healthcare and wider public sector projects, including work for local authority and transport bodies, which brings a different set of challenges.
Working in occupied schools, live healthcare settings or other public buildings means installation often has to fit around term times, patient care or public access rather than a straightforward empty-building programme. Getting that right, safely and without disruption to the people using the building, is what makes this role more demanding than a typical supervisory position.
This is a permanent role in Wigan, £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, plus a car or car allowance and a full benefits package.
About the Business
Framework and repeat public sector work changes what site supervision is worth. The same estates teams and often the same buildings come back so how a job is run, how little disruption it caused and how it was left at the end of each day carries into the next order in a way it never does on a one-off commercial scheme.
