Mission of aerodynamics: Aerodynamics is responsible for the aerodynamic design and characterization for all military aircraft programs along their product life cycle. We use numerical simulations, wind tunnel testing and flight test to understand the aerodynamic behavior and to create and deliver aircraft representative aerodynamic data and models for stability & control, performance, loads and aeroelastics.

Your Mission: Bridge the gap between aerodynamic theory and physical reality. As our Electrical Technician, you ensure the precision and reliability of our wind tunnel models and measurement systems, providing the essential hardware foundation for cutting-edge aerospace testing.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As Electrical Technician for Wind Tunnel Testing Equipment, your tasks span the following fields:

Instrumentation & Assembly

·       Electrical instrumentation, wiring and sensor integration for wind tunnel models

·       Manual application of strain gages and precision soldering of sensor connections

·       Assembly and mounting of mechanical and electromechanical components

·       Support model fabrication using in-house 3D printing technologies

Maintenance & Quality Assurance

·       Maintenance and repair of wind tunnel models, measurement technology and data acquisition systems

·       Quality assurance of outsourced components (including on-site buy-offs)

·       Management of tools and inventory stock

Testing & Engineering Support

·       Contribution to test preparation and the development of instrumentation and calibration concepts

·       Contribution to wind tunnel test execution in external wind tunnel facilities (occasional travel)

Desired skills and qualifications

For our multinational team we are looking for candidates with the following qualities and skills:

Technical Expertise

·       Completed vocational training (apprenticeship) as Electrical Technician, Electronics Technician or Precision Mechanic

·       At least 3 years of relevant professional experience

·       Strong practical skills in soldering, wiring, and working with measurement technology

·       Experience with electromechanical assemblies and/or 3D printing is a significant plus

·       A Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician certificate is an asset

Mindset & Requirements

·       A strong "hands-on" mentality: You enjoy working directly with hardware and physical models

·       Reliability and precision: You take pride in high-quality workmanship and technical accuracy

·       Flexibility: Willingness to travel to external wind tunnel facilities (approx. 3x per year, 1–4 weeks per trip)

·       Languages: Proficiency in both English and German
