Electronics Engineer, Next-Generation Space Communications - Location: Hybrid (Osney Mead, Oxford)
Industry: Space / Wireless Communications / Deep Tech Type: Full-time

About the Company

We are building the space-enabled connectivity networks of the future. Our mission is ambitious: to transform global communications infrastructure and help tackle some of humanity’s most critical challenges, from digital inequality to climate resilience.

As a fast-growing, innovation-driven start-up, we offer a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where you’ll have the freedom to contribute, take ownership, and work on technologies that push the boundaries of what’s possible.

We’re looking for an Electronics Engineer to take ownership of designing, integrating, and testing complex electrical and thermal subsystems for our Optical Communications Terminal. This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary role where you'll collaborate with software, mechanical and optical teams to ensure our hardware is integration-ready and fully verified for Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT).

If you thrive at the intersection of hardware and software, enjoy solving cross-domain engineering challenges, and want to build truly cutting-edge systems, this is the role for you.

PCB & Harness Development

  • Support PCB production, documentation, and design sign-off
  • Develop, test, and maintain harnessing
  • Coordinate with production partners and test teams

Testing & Ground Support

  • Participate in formal engineering test campaigns
  • Design and build electrical test equipment
  • Ensure subsystem readiness throughout the full AIT flow

What You’ll Bring (Core Requirements)

  • Strong background in electrical systems integration
  • Hands-on experience with electrical hardware–software development
